I noticed that thread turned into a french class......which leads me to ask.....I only know how to speak English, am I going to be alright?

Where you going in Quebec, Ru-E?

A lot of the ski hills etc in west Quebec are the most convenient places (other than the U.S.) for Ontario residents to go skiing. Therefore it's quite touristy, so you'll have a hard time finding someone who doesn't speak english.

In fact, I'm going to Quebec too this weekend... St. Sauveur-des-Monts, to be exact, for a weekend of x-country skiing and sitting on my ass.

on Sunday I'm going to Gadineau or something for one nite stay...and then we are heading north....I don't know the details yet....but it's west Quebec.....I'm from Ontario! It's gonna be kickass cause its a bunch of friends and we have a cottage all to ourselves!
