Streetracing is for losers. Take it to the track and get some time slips.
Too many kids are getting killed lately. I don't want to see you in the paper wrapped around a light pole.
If you really want to show your skills then you should come to some of our local Solo 2 race events. It is a truely humbling experience for the first few times.

What is this Solo 2 race event? I would like to try something like that sounds like fun
While I have not competed or participated in one - its a pylon laid out course, which you try and drive as fast as possible. They are usually done in safe and control environments, and sanctioned by I beleive the SCCA - therefore making them legal as they are done on private property with the appropriate authorities notified and safety staff on site.
i do agree with the street racing thing...too many KIDS are getting killed...........thats cause they think there FUCKING MARIO ANDRETTI weaving in and out of traffic with stock springs or they just lower there car and they think there good to go....i am only 19, ive had 5 cars since i got my license and not ONE accident, and i do race....BUT FROM LIGHT TO LIGHT....all my other cars had 4 wheel disc brakes so i could go and STOP......some IDIOTS dont realize that...i know its against the law...but really....you mean to tell me that you dump thousands of dollars into your whip just to take it to the track every weekend....and you ALWAYS follow the speed limit:devious:
Here is a little video created by one of the Solo 2 organizers here in Ontario.

thats pretty cool....but holy ROLL...car was swaying like a fat bitch in bed!!!! but it does look like fun!!...and that stuff should be kept for the track!!
I agree. I race from light to light periodically. Esp when some riced out civic with 100lbs of body kit and still stock engine revs me. But i never take it more than 60km/h (the speed limit is 50 for your Americans out there) But street racing like you see in the underground movies and shit is retarded. Props to those guys who can pull it off but very few of us have that kind of driving talent, I don't care what you say.
Maybe i'm at a different stage in my life being 27 and i know that i'm not invincible like you 18 year olds. I respect other ppl's lives too much to carelessly gamble like that over a race.
The last think we Import guys need is more fuel to the fires about "anti-import news" and the like. It's bad enough guys get hassled by the cops for loud exhaust and improper light colours in their rides. Why risk ppl's lives just so you can get props from your crew? To each his own but my opinion is that legally sanctioned races are much more cool than some jackass trying to impress some other jackasses. Plus if you are a good racer, you get noticed and sponsored. Then you get flowed by a company and get to build up your car more and more. There's not too many companies that will sponsor illegal street racing.
^^^^ has nothing to do with your age. I Am 24 and the ppl that race all the time are retarded...Track is one thing..ppl that race on public streets during the day and night should be shot. I cut them off, drive slow..do what I have to do to piss them off...Dood, dont post that shit in here, knowone cares...get a life.

Well, I guess you already got an earful of what the majority thinks about the illegals.
Also, for future reference, we don't allow people promote street racing.
