...June 6-10, to see Matthew Good on the 7th and the 8th (or was it the 8th and the 9th??). Not with my car though, which sucks. But anyway anyone else going? I'll be the drunk American chick running around.
sweet, I'll have friends! I'm going by myself to both shows, my parents meanwhile are gonna go to a club or something elsewhere, I don't know. Whatever, just gimme some alcohol and Matthew Good and I'm a happy girl.
^^ Ok you're seriously just begging for some sexual inuendo there so rather than do that I'll just type this.
BTW, Matt Good sucks. Seriously. He's a retarded piece of dung. I know, how bout I right the deepest most over-analytical lyrics anybody's ever heard and put them to rock music. Yes. Then I will convince a bunch of people that my analysis of everything is correct, they will follow me and everything in the world shall be right again.
:dead:

welp, several thousand people like the music, and as such will be in Toronto to watch the band perform. I would think they have different opinions on the band and its music, I am sure.
I take it you'd rather enjoy the crappy lyrics people like Avril Lavigne and Simple Plan and all the other garbage dominating the radiowaves?
I like music that has meaning. I don't agree with everything he says. But I still enjoy the music. It's 10xs better than all the prepackaged sh!t out there. Plus the fact he can actually sing, hes not just some random guy the record company found and gave singing lessons to.
oh yeah and:

huh? I meant it in no way to be sexual, and if people take it tke wrong way then that just shows where their brains are. I was simply stating that I will be by myself so anybody can feel free to come up and chat with me.
dam i wish i saw this post sooner cause then i would of tried to change my vacation days to those days instead of the end of the next month or so i think.
i booked my vacations days off a few months ago so i'll check which days i got off and when.

I agree, a lot of people like his music. But don't you find it odd that he tries to put on an anti-mainstream type attitude yet he himself is now widely considered a mainstream artist?
And FYI, Simple Plan was previously Reset. I was all about Reset. I still like their new stuff but not as much as the old Reset.
Avril Lavigne is a ho. Pure and simple. Can't stand her. I don't really listen to the radio mostly because I can't stand much of it. I listen to my own stuff and specific tidbits from different bands.
And about the fact that Matt Good can actually sing... I guess. I don't think he's overly fantastic but ya, he can carry a tune.

IMO, he's mainstream because he's got talent. His anti-mainstream attitude is directed at bands like Nickelback - and all the other bands that get signed because they sound like them - who generally all sound quite similar. I find Matt Good's stuff, both solo and with MGB, to sound pretty unique.
Tibbychick, let me know how it was. I saw him in Ottawa last summer and he put on a great show. He's playing two shows here next week, but I won't be able to go to either.
It's funny - he looks like a total geek with his big glasses on, but he seriously knows how to rock.
