I've kind of been hoping CBC would get rid of Cherry and replace him with Kelly Hrudey. I find Cherry really annoying. Not that my opinion matters, cos I change the channel between periods anyways.
its not like Ron Mclean is a good host... nor a good drinker. I bumped into him at the Gold in Burlington back at the beginning of the playoffs, and he was loaded out of his tree. I remember him giving a ****job to a beer bottle that night...

im not sure of replacing him with hrudey but atleast someone else,
yes he is an icon and i still watch him on games, but over time hes been getting anoying in a way. kind of like he has had his time and now time to pass it on.
