Re: Hyundai Sunday NEW EVENT INFORMATION! **VERY IMPORTANT**
Wow.
I had no idea. In fact, I personally completely forgot to make it out, the Accent isnt running anyways... I've been playing on my new toy I got the other week, my '02 Suzuki GSXR1000.
Regardless, I dunno what was goin on here at the dealership - but look at it this way:
When I went to my boss (Parts manager) and asked for some door prizes and the like for Hyundai Sundai, he had NO IDEA that Hyundai Sunday was going to be here. And he's on the managment team. Hell, the only reason I knew, was because I occassionally frequent these boards. Otherwise I would have no clue either.
Graham, I've known you for the better part of 1 and 1/2 decades, so I aint throwing that out the window... but who were you speaking to here? Obviously it should have been the owner... not one of the sales managers - I am assuming that's who you were in touch with.
However, in retrospect, Hyundai Sunday has had little return for Hyundai of Oakville too. 2 times the parts dept has thrown on its better deals it could offer, with litterally NO sales either time. A waste of a human at a counter, that could be enjoying themselves on what has been lovely Sundays. Hell, Speedstate is out of business as far as I know. Fact is, Hyundai performance tuners are making their own stuff, and dont buy parts nor cars, nor services from dealerships. We are warranty servants... and it sucks. We gain nothing hosting, its purely for the fun-of-it.
Hyundai of Oakville is moving next year to the new facilities, which look to be over 2x the size of our current building. I know I am looking forward to the larger stockroom for my parts.
Maybe a slight retraction of your above noted post thereby slamming my employer, and the same that has hosted Hyundai Sunday graciously in the past, might be in order.
Again, I ask the question... who were you in touch with? If in fact you were in contact directly with the owners, and they directly cleared it and then backed out, then I can understand your comments and frustration... but I have a feeling that this isnt the case.
