Hyundai Sunday NEW EVENT INFORMATION! **VERY IMPORTANT** - Hyundai Performance Forums

I am so mad right now I am beside myself. Today I dropped by Hyundai of Oakville to make sure that all the arrangements have been made for the event and they started saying that they didn't know it was this weekend. That is fvcking bull$hit. I have been speaking to people there about it for over two months now. Now the owner says that it is going to be too much of a liability and they don't want to do it anymore. I told them straight up that we have people coming from a long way for this event and then they just back out the week before???

I thought I could trust those pricks.

This has got to be one of the lowest things to do. I wouldn't blame any of you for never wanting to go there again. For any reason. Sales or Service...

So I am left with deciding to still go ahead with the event at another location or calling it off all together.

I seriously doubt that any of the other dealerships will be willing to host at such last minute notice. If any of you out there who have offered or know of dealerships that were willing to host it, could you please see if they are still willing? You would be truely Hyundai Syunday heroes.
Even a suggestion for another location would be muchly appreciated.

Dammit... I am so mad right now I am shaking as I type this....

If by Thurday we still don't have a venue, I will be calling it off.

I would like to offer my deepest heartfelt appology for this disaster. I totally didn't see this coming.:cry:

Ok, I will see if Jed can get in touch with his friend at Attrell Hyundai. They just moved, so they might be willing to do it. Also there's Cooksville Hyundai which just opened recently. They're on Dundas St, right around the corner from me. You could try them...

But if it comes down to it, couldnt we just have it somewhere else? Like at a park maybe? I dont know of too many but for example Chingacousy Park in Brampton is huge and has a big parking area and a place to picnic and barbeque. Or we could just do it over at Hutches, there's lots of parking and thats where we usually end up anyway.

Whatever you do, don't give up all together.

Oh man that sucks.

I still think you should have a meet that people can come to at the very least. People have already taken time off of work and surely still want to come up and see people and their cars instead of sitting at home using their vacation days. Last year I cared 10% about the actual event and 90% about the great times I had with the people I met.

glad I've been reading the forms before leaving for Collingwood, I'll keep reading to see what happens by Thursday.
I'll show up for anything between Collingwood and Kitchener, depending what time I leave for home.
Of course all bets are off if I meet a women with no morals. :evil:

Tomorrow morning I am going to go to Hutches down on the waterfront on the Hamilton beach. It is one of the places the after show cruise went. I am going to ask the manager to see if we can reserve fourty or so parking spots for the show. At leat it will be in a park style atmosphere and there will be food and activities closely available. Besides... The view is nice too and should make for some nice photographs.

For those of you looking into the other dealerships for me... Much appreciated.

Hutches would probably be the best. From what I saw we had a great time going down there last year.....theres a beach there (TC ended up in the water last year).

On top of all that....Sunday nights turns into a local hang out for the modded cars of Hamilton....I'd love to see their faces when they roll in and see 40 Hyundais taking up their lot....
