it feels stiffer because of the solid rear axle but let it fool you. I drove one very hard and im not a slouch behind the wheel.

Sorry but 21k for that car isnt worth it at all I much rather get a Mazda 3

Yah you could buy a mazda 3, but it wouldn't be a Hyundai. And it wouldn't be an Accent. I love the Accent for a few reasons.

1. Not many people have them.
2. They are not like any other car.
3. When you do something to them you are an individual.

I love this car. It might not be the fastest nor the stifess. But for the price it was the best buy for the buck! Not to mention the dealership just called me today and wanted to notify me that I got about $3000 in options free because of their error in the paper work.

Well, it LOOKS like a Yarris and a Kia Rio mashed together... and handles like a mazda protege. I got a better way to spend $19,000... i'd buy the base 07 tib for $18,000 at my local dealer.

Not my cup of tea. The LC/LC2 was just a better car... not so top heavy either.

Proteges handled well the MC accent doesnt.

Id get a Mazda 3 which handles better, has amazing brakes and great power for 21k

Actually compared to my 2004 3dr. I find this one much more solid in the turns, My only complaint is it really lacks in the highend. The lowend seems to have picked up in this new model. Great for light to light runs, but sucks for highway use.

Hey, I'm glad you enjoy it, it's just that a Mazda protege SUCKS, hence the comparison...My dad has had one since 2002, lists of problems occuring with it go on forever, not to mention that by 2009, it will be tied for rust spots on the body with my new 1986 Pony winter car (see pics in flame forum for a good comparo)

Granted from the side it does look like a pretty cool car, and I do like the fact that the dealer offers some sort of "mods"... I wish they included a leather wrapped MOMO steering wheel, Grille-integrated fog lamps as well as bumper fog lamps, front and rear spoilers, GT package (a few stickers, a tach, a larger motor, and a shorter final drive, aswell as a passenger side mirror), oh wait, im'm back in 1987, getting all these things for a PONY for...., $400?

I dunno about you, but hyundai is NOT a premium car, and when a subcompact car made by hyundai costs more than a base model toyota, we're in trouble boys and girls.... personally I hate Toyotas, but they're still made better than a hyundai. And I would buy a base corrolla before an accent "SR" with no real mods that make the car corner better, accelerate faster, stay true to the turn through the apex, deliver more torque, or lower the stance (by means other than attaching a lip kit)

Point in case: Deliver a 2.0L accent, or a RWD hyundai of any configuration , and I will buy. Otherwise, I stick to my current RWD platform and continue to enjoy an allready dated design (at time of release) well into the 21st century.
