Default Did you buy a Accent SR?

Anyone else purchase a Accent SR? I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. I added on just about ever option there was and have ordered it in red. I've also gotten myself a set of DRAG w/red spoked wheels.

I actually think there might be one in my city, I see it goin around town all the time, its the only new Accent in the city(15,000people). Its black, and looks stock though, so it might not be an SR. I havent been able to get a better look at it yet

When I do again, I'll take a pic and stuff(I see the car at least 5times a week driving around).
So your just waiting for it to arrive or need help with it??
Either way, congrats on it. Have fun and take some pics of her for us.
What are your plans to do with it?

Good luck.

Wellt he car is finally in and soon they will be installing just about ever option there is. Minus the 17" wheels. I decided to go with a set of DRAG 16" wheels. I'm also looking to purchase a full car clear rock guard kit. Last but not least I'll be swapping out the clarion deck for the double dim deck from the Tiburons. My car will be RED in colour as well as the wheels.

lol Yah we got large 400ton trucks up here. lol They are working ont he price today and yomorrow and will call me with the final figure. They owe me a great price since I've been waiting for almost a month for this car and this will be my 6th purchase from them in 9 years. Not to mention all the business I've brought them as well. I think the last total was 34 sales from people that I refered to them. SO I'm expecting somethind around the $17,000 mark. Here's the wheels I got, Red in color.

WHy do you say that? besides there being more room in the lc2 engine bay. The MC is stiffer and better shifting. I think Hyundai will come out with a few surprizes this fall for the Accent.

Yeah this is a touchy subject for me as I totally feel like we got ripped off on the SR. For what it is it's pricey as hell. They killed the white, there's no real performance addition as far as powerplant and the dealer aftermarket is way overpriced.

I'm guessing since you live in fort mac that you have a few bux so i'm sure none of the expensiveness matters to you but where's the damn factory 2.0L let alone the turbo. It's not like other concept cars that go to production where they were trying out new ideas. People have had beta turbo's for years... i'm sure if some dude can do the swap in his driveway, Hyundai could at least offer it as an option.

Either way, i'm sure you're gonna love your SR Komptek, and i'm sorry to rant here but it just makes me so p1ssed off that they did the performance model so half assed... let alone only offering it in Canada. You'd think the market would be slightly better in a country with 10 times our population... go figure.

Oh I agree with you on the whole SR shoudl have had a 2.0L but what the hell, If we don't support the car they will never built it. Just keep sending emails to Hyundai asking them to do a really SR model. But keep in mind that it's looking liek the Accent will be retiring soon much like the Tiburon and we will hopefully see the Hyundai's we have been asking for.
