yo dude restart the computer, just disconnect the negative terminal for a while,this could help because the solenoid is telling the ECU(computer) that it's in 3 gear, but if that doesn't do it, then it got to be your speed sensor, the sensor might be telling the computer that the car is going faster then it really is so with automatics it will change it AKA automaticlly. Or it could be the throttle position sensor telling the computer that theres a lot of air going through and it thinks your going down the highway in third. and I would clean out your system with sea foam through the brake booster, and clean out the throttle with cleaner, to get all of the carbon build up from the air out. don't try to take anything apart because, you might displace something. if non of these work, then Idk man

ps I would put some good transmision fluid in to help keep things running right.

i had tyhe same problem


check your intake manifold gasket


mine blew out at cylinder 2
