Default Immobiliser

Question about the Immobilisers in Elantras.

I need to know if there is anyone out there with a 2004 Elantra with NO immobiliser but has CVVT and if so, what trim level is it.

Thanks

Well I brought my Accent into a shop to have them do the wiring for my Beta swap and we're looking around for 04 Elantra ECUs

The problem is, my wiring diagram from HMA service, and my shop's wiring diagram is that they both say there is an immobiliser. I talked to the techs at a Hyundai dealership and they said that no Hyundai besides the Genesis or the Azera have chips in the key, which is what i thought an immobiliser was.

If our diagrams are referring to the keyless entry system, I was told by Hyundai techs that the keyless entry system has its own ECU and that if I get an ECU for a car that has keyless entry, it won't matter if the car i'm putting it into doesn't have that system.

So I guess I'm asking for your opinions, do you guys think that any old ECU will work ? My shop guy doesn't really agree with the Hyundai guys. What do you guys think ?
