Default Britains, Irish, Scotsman and Welshman, I need your help

Hello guys(& girls?)

I am doing a survey for school, for a Dutch company.
I am looking for interesting car parts/ auto accessories shops/ car tuning shops in Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. I've found out a lot about these/your markets, and I know some names of interesting shops, from the Max Power mag etc.
But can you please inform me about shops in these regions/countries, we tune freaks like? not to extreme(like fully racy), Halfords is a starting point for example(minimum)....

Which shops are populair in your town/region? Do they look save and show continuity? What is populair over there? Main thing is the shops....
Please tell me everything you know or think etc..You would help me a lot...It's to expensive to find out myself over there...
X)

Guys really thanx in advance!!!!

Regards
Freek

Hi Freek!....well, I read your post & I can tell you that most of the retail shops in the motor spares/tuning parts trade, other than Halfords & Motorists Discount Centres plus Carnosseur, are small businesses with just one shop.
All petrol stations now carry basic parts , fluids & cleaning materials, but most of the tuning parts like we use, are supplied in the U.K. by Mail Order & Internet companies such as Demon Tweeks, Amber Performance, Essex Racing, Peter Maiden & all the other companies who advertise in Max Power & the other tuning magazines you have read.
Can`t really tell you more than this I`m afraid!,
Cheers, Nick.

hey nick! well ok, thanx anyway. Yes I was surprised by the supply of mail order services in the UK. So that's actually mostly used? Habits?
Can you say something general about the history/future of the company's advertising in these mag's? like: these are the biggest, they exist quite a long time already? is it possible to say something like that over there?

And these companies, it's hard to find something about the ones specifically in Ireland Wales and Scotland, can you or somebody else tell me something about that perhaps, or give me a clue, hint, where I can find more specifically.

OK man,(men) thanx anyway, perhaps you can give me YOUR favorites?

OK have a good weekend, enjoy and talk later

adios
Freek
