uhhh ok i owned a escort GT a T has about 35 more hp then a accent goes safely up to 8000 rpm and would waste a accent any day if it wanted to trust me i now own a accent with 92 hp
none the less.... escort GT= mazda miata if a accent can beat a miata then holy shit there good cars lol hyundai must have lied about those little 1,5's making more than 92 hp stock
Ford escorts are beasts, monster machines big scary powerful beasts.
Depends on which Escort. The run-off-the-mill ones that people bought off the showroom floor were fair game for plenty of cars. The Escort Cossie's on the other hand, were nigh-unbeatable back in the day and they still are by any stretch of the imagination. A modern WRX STi or Evo would be stressed to keep up with a well-tuned example.

Ford escorts are hunks of crap, plain and simple lol. I have rode in them before and they barely have enough power to go up a hill an are rattle traps. You can find an extreme example of any car but that does not mean they are great cars. Escorts rust easily, fall apart and have no power.
well i own a protege gt which is the same as the escort gt and its a fast car, very peppy and easy to modify, hardly crap by any means, look up info on the mazda bp, very strong engines that make it a very fun car to drive, i was at mosport with mine doing 1/8 mile drags (all they had there) and i had 300,000km on mine and was kicking a lot of ass up there with it.
