Default downed against a Alitma 3.5SE

i went to the grocery(don't know if that's right) store to go get my mom something. left and saw a buddy. he was just sitting in the parking lot doing nothing he high beamed me when i left so i turned around and chated with him, by the way he has a GK V6, we were talking then his parents called him to take the car back cause it was his dad's so. and i had to go too. so we headed the same way then he punches it while i was behind. then he slows down. we were going 35ish-40ish, i was in fifth and downed to third to see what he'll do and he floors it so i down to second right when he floors it and pull half a car ahead, shift to third and he slowly creaping up. hit forth and he slowly gets up ahead by half a car or i was behind his bumper. we kept going til 90 mph then we stopped. but to think of it my 4 bangger to hang with the big V6, wasn't to bad. it was fun though.

No I agree with Forced. Altima with exhaust, hi-flow cat and headers isn't some supercar or anything.

I'm sure it's a lot quicker as it's got like oh, 100hp on your engine but I have to say I was expecting a lot more as far as engine buildup or at least show.

eh.. ok.. yeah i said an even faster car so thanks for pointing out what I pointed out. Neither of those races should have been won by the hyundai or even been a close race. I never said the car I ran was in perfect condition.. to look at it might say otherwise. The maxima has over 200k miles. That didn't stop the owner from talking crap. I dont think a tib with your mods really stands any chance against an 3.5 altima, maybe with an auto.. ive never seen those show up at the track. I have seen a few sticks and they haul ass. That 15.2 you claim.. is that avg or what you ran one cold night with sticky tires? If it is an avg the altimas still over half a second faster and like you pointed out in my thread would have a better chance from a rolling start. V6=torque

C&D estimated wrong. A few people on the mazda forum and one of the mags that actual ran the car put the stick at 16.8 with a 5spd and the auto around 17.3ish.. depending on the weather of course. Soo.. about the same as a 1.6 accent.. not an 18sec car.

i didn't say that i beat him. i just said that i kept up with him/ was behind him. at the speeds we were going it's hard for an auto to get a good downshift. plus i never said i can beat a alitma 3.5, that thing is a blow up 350Z.
