i'm racing a chevrolet 2005 silverado with a Vortec V8,

is there any possibility i'd win?

If its a 2X4 5.3 short bed single cab, your toast

If its a 4.8 (?) 4X4 long wheel base extended cab etc (I dont even know if they show up like that :lol

then you can take it.

I toasted a 4.8 short bed. It was a 2wd auto. They really arnt that quick. I think it was the 4.8, i mean.. thats a little puny v-8. If it was the 5.3, i dont think i could have won. OH! it wasnt new or anything either.. was like a mid 90's or something. They looked the same for about.. oh the last 10 years.

tak, you have the beta II correct? the only silverado you wouldn't beat is the SS, borrow some decent tires from a friend if they have some and go for it... i've beaten some silverados w my 1.6, no idea on the engine size but i still came out on top.

short bed, 1500, V8 , auto, 4 door cab with chrome painted steelies.

I know that beta accent's have powerful acceleration when going flat out thank's to it's torque curve

If its a 1500 its got the pussy v-8 i think. The 2500-3500 Had the big v-8 option.
