Default Finally cut her loose...

I was in Mexico the other day and followed an SRT4 and Cobra (friends) that were roll racing. Before I knew it, I was well above 6krpm in 5th gear hitting about 145-148mph. It had plenty of power left, but I was pretty close to redline, so I shut it down. Need to find taller/stronger gears.
I have stock suspension and body, but the car felt stable enough. It was actually pretty smooth at that speed. IDK why some say that the Tib doesnt handle well at high speeds.

Thats pretty quick. It would be cool to see how fast it could really go with taller gears. Your cars running 14psi, right?

I'm still running 14psi. I didn't really line up to race any of those guys cause they were filming and I didn't want to interfere with them.
I could have easily taken the SRT4. I think he's boosting 17psi. But no other major mods.
I have no idea how I would have done with the Cobra. It's the 2001 n/a model, but is putting down 358whp. I do know that he would take me in a high speed roll cause he just flew by me when I topped out my gear. He claimed to still be at like 2-3krpm at that speed. lol
They did take a vid of me though when they passed me by and I was topped out. We're still waiting on it to be uploaded.

What do you redline at? It is about 20mph per 1000 rpm in fith gear with stock tires.
My car is stable at high speeds, well not right now because I have the underbody panels off. I got tired after clutch install and didn't feel like putting them back on.

Here's a vid of the Neon and Cobra racing. The second race, you can see them both take off before I did, then I caught up to the Neon and stayed there. At the end of the video, I was ahead of them both and the Cobra finally caught up as I ran out of gear.

Found their mods:
01 Cobra = Stock minus Exhaust
05 SRT4 = Stage -2 CAI + SpringMod

wow, i love the tiburon jon, its awsome. I know you might not be familiar with the 1.6L engine (alpha). BUT what kind of injectors would you recommend me to buy??? I've been looking for 290cc, but i just want to make sure that 290cc will be enough to get me past at least 200WHP. I am currently building a turbo 1.6L. I already have a auto-manual swap completed, now i'm working on the boost project. So far i have: t25 turbo from a nissan silvia, and oil lines.
I think i need: BOV , Intercooler and piping, injectors....don't know how big though, Exhaust manifold, some sort of fuel management (computer SAFC, or Emanage, OR something you recommend over those two....) , walbro fuel pump 190 lph, stage 3 clutch, and upgrade my exhaust piping from 2.25 inch to the 2.5 inch piping. If i left anything out let me know, i want to boost somewhere around 14-16 psi, in the future i will have lower compression pistons 9:1, and some nice build on the engine with rods and such. Please help me get started in the right track, thank you
