hello people!

I hail from Singapore in South East Asia and in Singapore, the hyundai accent 2006 4 door sedan model is called the "Hyundai Verna"

We have a local Hyundai Forum known as Club Hyundai ( clubhyundai.org ), and I'm a member of the Club Verna Forum in the main Club Hyundai Forum.

Anyway, finally get to find a website which caters to other Verna 2006 / Accent 2006 owners outside of singapore.

I'm actually looking for a lot of aftermarket parts to "pimp up" my ride. Anyone know where I can get different brakelights, headlights for the Accent 2006 model?

Oh, and I read your interesting threads about a 1.5L Accent beating a 1.6 Accent.

2 things.

1. the Pick-up on the accent '06 1.6 and 1.4 models sucks bigtime.
2. I drive a manual 1.6, cvvt dohc, with an added ADM supercharger, and get great torque wheel spins. Anyone wanna try me? :P

My timing for 0 to 100km/h (your 60mph) is proven at 9.6seconds.

But seriously, here's a picture of my car :P

Seriously looking for aftermarket parts.. anyone know wherE I can get them?!

Is he talking about one of those little electric feed-your-engine-plastic-fan-blade-bits superchargers!?

Vernas are perfect for catching people on bicycles. I actually ordered a Verna emblem from Shark Racing about... 9 months ago.

That car is fucking sweet though. Looking at that pic just makes me smile. Oh shit I actually completely forgot what this thread was about... that pic erased my short-term memory. HAAA!! Sweet. I'm gonna run to the store and buy me another 07' and make it a cop car too. I'll keep it in the basement. It'll go with my girlfriend's handcuffs.

I own an MC-Accent. I use it everyday to work and all around drive. Heavier it may seem but I killed a 2000'ish mazda 323 about 2:30 am on freeway 99 towards north. I was doing 130mph, had the pedal almost on the floor. Realizing he was gaining a bit after few seconds, i floored it. It was still accelerating upto 138 mph. He never got me luckily. I did that when I still have less than 500 miles on the car yet. My folks says, it needs break-in period upto 3000 miles. Gas was frustrating if you drive fast most of the time. I get 26 mpg was really a bad result. My Accent is about to reach 32,000 miles now. I should say, my gas mileage went to 35mpg. Break-in is really true.
My advice, if you like fast and racing cars, go get a cheap car where you can easily afford to fix. Keep your everyday car as-is. Drive it fast from time to time to get rid of carbon-build ups on your cylinder as well as your exhaust.
Driving slow or traffic (less than 3000rpm) mostly = Carbon build ups
Carbon build ups = Low mileage results on your gas = Feel slow when you step on it

If you need to test your Beta with my MC, let me know. Im in Central Valley, Stockton CA.
Just a friendly test, no ego involve please.

harharhar..

actually, that was obviously a photoshop image of my car..
didn't get down to doing it like the transformer's movie.. although I think it would have been a rather nice laugh :P

Anyway, talking about the Air-charger, it's not a plastic fan blade.. it's actually made of stainless steel...

You can check out the product HERE

Erikgsi... i see you drive a hatchback 5 door accent.. maybe your pick-up is better?

I drive a Manual.. and after installing a Defi VSD-X HUD gauge, I realise you can't rely on the needle on the instrument panel's speedo for an accurate road-speed.... u'll need a digital read out... the needle doesn't really show the exact speed.. only the laser gun speed test or digital speedos do...

At least X3 dohc accent has the most potential when tuned because it's so light and it's only giving 100cc away against others.

EDIT:

Damn I already posted here some time ago? LOL!
I wouldn't get too confident in the ADM product actually; its a poor substitute for actual forced induction. I posted this on your forums a long time ago and no-one wanted to take it in(along with a good bit of information) This was addressed on these forums years ago. IIRC it was even before CH was founded.

But yeah.

Shorter gearing is an advantage at the traffic lights, and small courses(autokhana, khanacross etc.) I'd love to take one of these out into the grass and cones.
