Default XD vs TC

It actually started with me making a "run" against a friend of mines focus. Its not the fastest thing in the world so it was pretty bad. I dont think he really even tried once I started to pull away. After that the TC slowed down and moved over once there was no traffic ahead of us. We went 65-?? (was more worried about the road in front of me than the speedo) I rev matched third and pulled him a little (my front bumper) right at the start. At the top of third he started to make up ground. After the shift to 4th I eased a little (my headlight) and again as rpms went up he very very slowly started to pull. When I hit the brakes he had just a little more than his headlights in front of mine. It was a loss for the XD but a damn good run. BTW this guy can drive , his TC outruns a buddy of mines TC that posted a stock time of 15.7's at the track. Its modded but I don't know how much. Ive meet him before just really dont know him or his car that well. Anyway, its been sometime since I had that good of a run with anything.

I ran a TC the other day in the Accent. From stop light to about 45mph. I was ahead, but just barely. I suspect from his shift and takeoff that it was an automatic.

The new loud exhaust has gotten me a lot more attention from people wanting to race me. lol.

so the TC barely you but barely...

I've been challenged to a race from a co-worker of mine at goodyear..he was a slammed 06 TC with HID's and a tanabe sport exhuast,

will a front wheel drive couple with a camry engine beat me?

after all..i describe my car as a mid-to near 6K RPM Grunter.

i just might have to get that SFR ECU adapetr kit.

If you are as fast as ryan no. The TC only pulled 1-2 inchs on me.. lol. Just enough to show he was a little bit faster. Ryan would have had him by 3-4 cars like he had me in almost the same race.

i wonder how the tc's fifth gear ratio is..

accent tranny's have a very close gear ratio and 5th seem's a bit like fourth..

heck..i can even pass car's on fifth without the need for a downshift.

I thought that the tC had the old Celica engine. I'm a tC fan, but they're too mainstream so I'm goin towards a tottally different platform. *^^*

161hp@6000 and 162lbs@4000 of torque, coming in 500 rpm sooner than the beta. They are a little heavier than the XD, but run upper 15s stock. So stock for stock they are faster than elantras.
