Default WTF? Metro?

Ok so i did a BK run and on the way home I'm lined up with a beat up Geo Metro hatch. The light goes green and to my astonishment he's floored it. I gun it too for laughs and I'm up to him, he shifts to second and loses a bit of ground but only a 1/4 a car length, then again at 3rd and he's lined up with my rear wheel. We call it off at 100km/h so it was only a quick run but I was freaked out that he kept up that much. Doesn't the 4cyl metro have like 70hp?

I didn't hear a BOV so i don't think it was turbo'd but i'm sure hoping something was added. It was a late 90's model, beat up paint and the guy driving was probably early 40's.

Yeah i'm thinking it might have had a mild turbo. It was totally a sleeper you should have seen this POS. Paint flaking off the bumper, steelies with factory hub caps and the antenna was broken in the middle. I wanted to talk to him at the next light but he turned off the opposite way.

I swear to god if it was stock I'm going to burn my car to the ground. I mean yeah it's no race car but I got 30hp on that thing.

Yeah boob i was thinking you might know something. It obviously wasn't a stock engine in there. He kept up way too good. Still freaked me out that he was so quick. At least I still beat him. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for it and see if i can talk to him about it. It wasn't a pocket rocket or anything cuz really for me to beat it it still had to be slow but still a lot faster than it should have been.
