Default Raced my buddy's Teg Type R

he's a shitty driver but we're testing it for a race coming up. it's got fuel problems too, we need a fuel pressure gauge so we can adjust his fuel pressure cause he's running super lean.

first run i took him off the launch, i was looking cause he should've passed me once the VTEC kicked in but he didn't. shift to second and i pulled a little, watching to see if he was going to blow by and still nothing. thrid he started pulling up then fourth and he just cruised by. he beat me by a fender to a door.

second run same thing i took him off the launch. second i pulled again. we both missed third, once we got back in he pulled up. fourth gear he came up again. he won about the same margin. man type R V-TEC's are loud as fvck when they're right next to you.

his mods are
AEM fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator
AEM cam gears
UN light weight pulley set
Injen cai
DC Sports 4-1 headers and cat-back

ACT stage 2 clutch

mine
1.8 cam
HKS cat-back
K&N drop in
OBX light weight crank pulley
grounded engine
Excedy replacement clutch
i hit a 16.0 a couple weeks ago like this, yeah, i even got a exhaust leak.

yes, i know i didn't stand a chance and, his car is still not running right and he's a bad driver but with me behind the wheel it's faster. hopefully after we adjust the fuel pressure to where it's sopposed to be at it should be smoking me by 2 semi's.

the only reason the vtec won was of it's ability to rev higher than you..

i raced a few honda's and they alway's catched up and pass me around 3rd gear,
whne i shifted to 4th..they were still hanigng around in 3rd thanks to it's extra 1500-2000 RPM's to play with.

i think the SFR remapped ecu which enables us to go 7500RPM will be vital to beating honda's..
VTec may be loud buit it's sweet sounding..make's our beta's sound like industrial grade engines..

Lilo the 16.0 that you mention was a time from the drag strip?

If that is the case that friend of yours is more that a shitty driver.

Teq Type R stock can do high 14's, he really suck at the stick.
