Raced a 3000GT VR4 twin turbo vs Hyundai Tiburon 98' Turbo

Well it was in the highway i down shift to third he can't pass me, fourth exactly same half a car, when I shifted fifth my car was about to explode 130 mph, the rpms were redlining he pass me, whatever I need a sixth gear lol !!! my car was boosting approximately 15psi.

its possible the tib is much lighter and with 15psi plus the wear on old vr4s

haltech f9 controls only fuel no retarding ignition that sucks

wastegate tial 38mm
hks blowoff
75mm throttle body
custom made lsd
front mount intercooler
custom made short shifter
custom made throttle thats about it/
i still has to take it to the track, when it was turbo but not programable i ran 14.9 pass...
i think i could take that 3000 gt on the 1/4 but on the highway i don;t know lol that car was fast damn high top speed, my tibu goes about 130-135mph thats about it unless you do some transmission work !

1 bar of boost at 7:1 compression ain't worth crap.

From a dig he has you... and probibly from an aerodynamic stand point as well. (wrote this before you posted again)

What were the trap speeds?
stock the vr4 did 13.8 quarter @ 98mph so if you are on a rolling race I can see this happening, expecially if you brake boost

it gonna be a 3-bar map sensor but right now it is runnin with a 1 bar map sensor conected to the tps... i know i am workin on it. planning to run 25 psi i ll let you know how much it runs on 1/4 lol !!!

Possible. vr4s are roughly 3800 lbs. and from the factory they're around 280 hp if I remember right. Depends when his boost kicks in.

Now, a modded one, good luck. Had a friend who ran 8.3 1/8miles. I think that's around a 12.5 1/4mile DD street trim.

I believe it. A Tib on 15psi puts out more power than a VR4 and weighs less. I'm surprised you didn't beat him by more.
