My stupid dealership won't mail me my licence plates. What can I do?

I politely asked my Hyundai dealership to mail me my plates as Lexus had done when I had bought a Lexus. I said it can't be illegal to mail licence plates because Lexus had done it. So they don't even respond to my fax or phone messages and basically indicated right from the beginning that I have to come into the dealership to pick them up. This is a 3 hour round trip for me and I REALLY don't think I should have to waste 3 whole hours to pick up my damn plates!
What should I do? Think it's worth complaining to Hyundai corporate about this dealership's handling of this matter? I mean why can't they spend a lousy $7 to mail me my plates?

Some states you cannot send plates through the mail. Better check your local DMV laws before you go complaining about it.

Just think, some wayward postal worker is having a bad day, notices your plate package in the mail and decides to take it, sell it to a crack head, who in turn puts it on his Olds Duece and a quarter and does a drive by where he kills conjoined twin girls. Hey, it could happen.
