Default court on the 18th*updated*

dammit i just had to have my system up loud so i couldnt even hear the radar detector that was going off. this will be my first time ever in court and i have no clue whats going to happen. i have never had a true ticket before just a written warning in another state. i really cant get any points on my lisence because of my car accidents i may get kicked off the insurance. i really have no clue what to do. all because i was being stupid and wasnt paying attention to my damn speed. i posted the whole story in the off topic forum but nobody helped at all. so i am f*****:dead::depressed:

My best advice.... BE HONEST! It's the only way. How bad was your ticket? Give us the details on your stop and we might be able to help you a little more.

ok heres the story. i was working on my car i re-did the trunk at the end, a friend and i decided to take it for a ride to see how everything came out. i had to return a rented dvd to the next town over so i figured why not drop it off. there is a river between the two towns so of course there is a bridge going over. well i was going across the bridge i had my music on loud so i couldnt hear my radar detector (bad move) and i was driving my car with overdrive off as to keep the rpms up to help the battery charge since while i was working on my car i kept forgetting to shut doors so the car light was on all day. so with this i was doing 60 in a 50 zone and the police officer takes my speed and pulls me over in the town over(enfield) and he was a cop from my town(suffield) when he took my speed i was on the enfield side of the bridge and so was he. he was driving towards me at the time. gave me a court citation for doing 69 in a 50. it was wierd he pulled me out in the middle of it all to ask me if i was related to some guy. this is sad but true about the rpm thing. i dont know what i was thinking

Depends on the state laws. In the state of Indiana, if you're a sworn police officer, you're sworn in for the entire state. You can enforce any state code or ordinance ANYWHERE, and you practice both state and local law in your home municipality.

I have to add that in my Experience (Ex LEO firearms instructor) Most town/City police are allowed to operate up to a fixed distance outside of the town/city limits... In NC it used to be 3 miles. This is to allow for following fleeing bad guys out of the city limits, long enough for State or Sheriff to get there...
