Default Im ****ing Pissed!!!

between 0 and 4 degrees, relative humidity over 60%, blue pony does NOT RUN! It died yesterday and I had to tow it home (CAA YAAAY! had to ****ing wait 1.5 hours for them to get there) It started up, I drove it on the flatbed, and that was the last time that car started. It was dead today also, couldn't start it at all.

Now I had to use my black pony (without insurance) to drop liz off at the airport. I almost totalled the car on the highway because it has summer tires on it and I lost control of it and almost hit a beamer... steady brake and steering input resolved a near fatal crash that would have seen me underneath a truck.

On top of all of this, i have to WAIT until ALL THE FUEL evaporates from the engine. I've taken the plugs out and im gonna remove the carburator and soak up all the gas in the IM. With the humidity, this can take DAYS, and the black pony is NOT AT ALL suited for winter use.

Also, I have to buy new balljoints and put them on the black pony (the whole control arm assembly) and then put those ones on the blue one....

im so ****ing pissed!

That sucks.

Shouldn't take too long for the fuel to evaporate though unless it's like hydrolocked with liquid gasoline...

I put a LOT of gas in the carb... im gonna soak all the liquid fuel then turn it over with no sparkplugs while holding a torch to each cylinder. With the carb off the car and the pump inactive, it should greatly speed up my drying efforts.

Don't get me started about wheels... the blue pony uses stock rims + tires (needs two new front ones, BAD) and thicker Stellar2 rims out back.

The black one uses 195/55/R15 in front on focus rims (and 10mm spacers) and out back (BADLY needs two new rear tires, the wall is separating from the mesh) uses 195/60/R15 out back on 16mm spacers. All four wheels use recessed nuts. Switching the wheels is undesireable.

There are also many factors such as: Inoperative choke (not defective, it just stalls the car because it has such an aggressive cam in it - enrichens the fuel mixture so badly it can't burn it at idle), open air carb cleaner, and a VERY touchy suspension (real stiff) out back. NOT a good combination for winter.

I'm gonna attempt to correct some of these issues today with my friend, after repairing his muffler on his grand prix.

I also ordered a new balljoint, and will give the old control arm to my mechanic (after sandblasting it and painting it up) to put a new balljoint in it. I'm gonna get started on that soon, as the blue pony's ball joints are exquisitly worn, as are the front tires (statically worn)

Jed, I dont like hearing about near fatal crashes. Can you please slow down and be more careful? It's not a race. If it takes you 2 extra minutes to get where you're going, that won't alter your life.

YES!! I fixed it! My buddy noticed sparks flying BETWEEN the cap end of the wires... the wires were toast. Transferred some spare wires I had... started right up.

Bad news: Starter on black pony is cooked. Decent news: Balljoints are more or less ready for installation.

So yeah, ****ing plug wires...
