Default I am soooo MAD!!!

I was really excited when I was able to work an hour of OT twice in the past two weeks the first being added on to my paycheck that I got today...I know I put it on my time card!!!! Well when I finally got my check, ready to pay my rent and put sum of the lil extra cash I would have into my Tiburon and to my surprise...no hour of OT!!! GRRRRRR!!!!!! I needed that cash so bad to cuz on the 31st of this month my bf and I are goin to battle of the imports to watch a friend race!

Hey thanx yeah kinda new to the forums but Ill check out the Pacific one...I used to be really into the car events but when I got an actual full time job I had to cut back...plus I moved outta my parents house so thats taking alot of money. I plan on talking to my boss but hes away on business til Monday and he locks up all the privious time cards!!

Depending on your employer, a lot of people do overtime in a couple of ways. In your employee agreement, you might've signed away your right to an over 8 hour overtime in ordre to recieve that over 40 hours a week ot. That may be great sometimes, but it sux sometiems too.

Did you recieve over 40 hours that week?

I never signed anything, I have gotten ot before, I think they may have just had a communication error, I know that the payroll department was real confused these past couple weeks! Where I work, if you work over 8hrs in a day you get ot its not based on a 40hr work week

Unless your union. At my old job technically anytime over my shift was overtime. Say i had a four hour shift. And i was asked to stay an extra hour? Thats overtime. Even tho i may only have 20 hours that week.

my job sucks ass. they will edit our time cards so that we don't get over time, thinking that somehow i don't notice???
