Default lame flame but a definite blame

I hate the fact that front wheel car's are the most bitch to work on,

while they may be the cheapest and most efficient way to build a car since it require's fewer drivetrain parts..

they are no match for the tech's who can remove a RWD tranny in 10 minutes..

FWd car's are front end heavy and have complex drivetrain systems

I'm sorry, my diff in my accent's gone out and i'm just venting!!

*UCK!!..i've spend so much money to keep my car running for daily use and now this bad diff really put's the salt in my wounds and take's the cake..

M8, try changing the plugs on a 'Rex or removing the stock dump pipe from an Evo. Try changing the oil filter in a 2JZ-equipped Supra, or taking the turbo's off of a GTR without dropping the engine.

It's all a matter of perspective and it depends on what you're used to.

I agree with you... though I couldn't imagine the work taking a tranny off an evo or awd eclipse. Certain things have their certain difficulties, but transaxles all seem to have all the same problems when working on them. FR and RR seem to have different giripes depending on each layout. All FWD trannys suck to take out.

Ive pulled my tranny out 4 times. To me its realitively easy. The first time i did it it took me two hours to get it out. The last time? 17 mins including jacking the car up. its all a matter of practice and patience.

I changed BOTH my front axles in under 25 mins a few days ago. This includes drain and fill times for the tranny.

God i LOVE power tools.

But i agree, FWD sucks... lol

Lower the longitudal member and it gets a whole lot easier; if you have an x-beam brace for the engine bay you can hang the engine off of, then you can pull the member out completely.

Walk in the park from there.
