Default fucking lazy ass co-workers!!

i had a rough day today

aside from my differential failing on me, i worry about the drive home as i have planned on rplacing th waxle which i thought was gonan fix the clunk i keep hearing..

to make matters worse, my night crew co-workers haven't showed up..i'm the only guy doing flat repairs, mounting tires and doing rotations and fetching fresh tires form the tire sheds and i have car's waiting in line for service that i have to do with my own 2 hands!!

i guess the fuckheads didnt' realize that they were BOTH calling out for the day..

so here i sweating in the heat and busy with the impact and with the tire machines, tossing old tire's and mounting the new ones,

for the whole afternoon, I had this preoccupied thought in my mind that i had a broken car sitting in the lot and wondering if it'll get me home

the PM manager volunteered to help me out while i was trying to close the tire department,
a POS cavalier need a fresh set of 195/70/R15 Regatta 2's and he did them with a janitor who also helped me.

afte they were done with the cars for the evening,
i swept, put away tools and air hoses and impacts and lift blocks, pressure washed the mechanic's bay

I basically did the work of 3 tire guy's and my manager is gonna have his way with the fuckers that skipped worker tommorw..
in the meantime, the PM manager said he was gonna buy me lunch for all my hard work..

i was pissed and ashamed of my co-workers but swallowed the fact that happened , happened and gave myself a pat on the back..it' not like i deserved a medal or something.

Fucking lazy ass co-worker's can be weak link's in a chain of teamwork..

Wait until you're the guy doing scheduling and you can't fire the lazy ones 'cuz then you won't have enough to get the work done.

So you gotta schedule the lazy ones, knowing that they'll no-show sometimes. So basically you're just picking which coworkers get screwed and can still pick up most of the slack.

wow im really sorry...i dont understand what thats like working with tires and everything but i do know how you feel! My last day at my old job (burger king) they scheduled me (i was the nite manager) to have sum1 in the kitchen that didnt even kno how to cook or clean and my other crew members couldnt stay any later even tho they really wanted to to help me out...so i ended up taking orders in drive-thru, cleaning, doin my management stuff (counting down tills, paperwork) and cooking and handing orders out!! Luckily my bf was outside sitting in my car and two of my co-workers came by cuz they knew who i had so they wanted to make sure i was doin okay, they had a friend with them and the 4 of them helped me close even tho it was technically against the rules!! the deal was that i was finishing up my two weeks notice and this was three days from the last day of it and my manager wouldnt even come in to help me so i wrote a note saying i wouldnt be in to finish my last three shifts!!

so i totally kno how you feel!! but at least the other manager helped u out and realized how hard u worked ur butt off!!

Many people dont realize how shops and companies work. It drives me nuts when they call in, cause even if thier tasks are tidious, they are still important and can kill your day if they dont get done.

+1 for sticking with it and finishing the day. You manager knows now that he can count on you to do anything there. Now he will think of you when that manager postion opens up at another store, and submit a good word. He'll also think of you when those dipshits call in if he needs help.

Remember if your irreplaceable your unpromotable. Be replacable.... I am irreplacable I'm one of only a few people world wide with the skill set required for my job. Its nice to be important but its impossible to take a day off everytime I leave the office within a half an hour my cell is ringing everything is all screwed up we need help... If I was hit by a bus i would take about 4-5 people to make up my skillset. I've been in training all week and my phone is constantly ringing its ok because the training isn't teaching me much but I need to sit through the training to get certified for my work. Oh well.

Anyone know of a LAN admin, SAN Admin, Cisco Guy, Senior VMware Architect, and VPN Guy looking for work? Experience with FC-AL/ISCSI is a must. Yeah I didn't think so...

in other words, don't feel so settled to the job,

they find me as reliable employee and use me from now on.

i believe in my duty as a tire guy, not a pawn of a corporate capitalistic tire chain..

ever heard of the movie "Layer cake?"

even though i work hard at goodyear, i work hard, but not for the fuck's and head personnel at the front desk, but i like doing thing's right..it's my natural habit.

i've seen plenty of dick's on the front desk barking orders at us..all i do is give em the birdie when their back's turned..
i will never be intimidated by authority..especially dickheads and tools.
