So lately Tak82 and I have been trying to restore Madhatters old car..therefore some parts were needed. One part was a fan - which i asked c0ven if it was available and he agreed to sell it to me for 25 plus shipping. He said it would be $75 shipped, so I sent out the $75 via paypal. I later found out it would cost $140 just to ship it us on time..so i told him that i was not buying the fan and to send back my $75 through paypal, which he told me his gf would willing do later that day. To my surprise, i was short $14 and was sent a message stating THERES A FEE FOR TAKING OFF THE FAN!! what kind of fucking bullshit is that? This is a fellow member of the boards here..and he's charging me fees for taking off a measly fucking fan, which he said he had burnt and melted peices to? C0ven if you are reading this, I would advise you to refund me the $14 that is owed to me. And I advise all of you on HP to watch your back while transacting with this "FELLOW HP.com MEMBER"..he will pull fast ones on you with no hesitation..C0ven just return my $14..its very simply and best point of all..IT IS NOT YOUR FUCKING MONEY!!!..DO NOT MAKE ME TAKE THIS UP LEGALLY..IT IS ONLY $14. I know the flame forum says no personal attacks..i am not personally attacking him, i am simply venting out my anger since i was just robbed of my money..i am sure members on this board would like to know information regarding these types of issues and who not to buy from. This is just business.

"Hi this is D's g/f. The reason the entire amount wasn't reimbursed was explained in the Pay Pal message, but since you didn't read them I'll explain here. I took out the Pay Pal transaction fees ($4), the cost of packaging materials ($7) and gas ($3) for running to the post office and fed ex to try and find a reasonable shipping fee for you. The fact that you decided not to purchase the fans after indicating you needed things expedited shouldn't be a cost we incur. Sorry if you feel otherwise, but considering how pressed for time you were and how we made every effort to accomodate you ought to count for something.

Sorry things didn't work out with the fans.

C0ven never "robbed" you or charged you for taking out the fan. And you ought to know when you tell someone that you need something out asap and it's a USED part that it might not be in pristine condition. You spoke to him on the phone and he told you then, that when he removed it there was a few areas where the plastic got hot when he was cutting the bolts. You asked if it was still useable and he told you yes, which it is. And I heard him when he said "I wouldn't sell you a part you couldn't use."

You can't expect me to pay out of pocket for the Pay Pal fees or the packaging materials. If you want the $3 for gas, I'll give you that, but don't start flaming someone and talking shit. You were the one in the big ass hurry, we were just trying to accomodate you. You changed your mind and that's cool, but talking shit and threatening legal action is laughable.

BTW... so that things are straight here. The shipping was going to be $105 overnight through Fed Ex for the box that was 10.7 lbs. Not $140... not sure where you came up with that figure, but there you go.

My decision stands..give back the money immediately...no more fairytale stories...i am not responsible for any fees you have incurred during the transaction and no fucking way will i be paying for your "packaging fees, transaction fees and gas fee"..first of all i never ever had a fee hit from paypal..and from what c0ven said..he had spare boxes around his place..and gas is not in anyway part of my responsibility..this is part of business..you can not make up your own rules and you can definitely not steal people's money without notice and agreement..I wanted to pay for the fan..not your time and gas..under law you are in violation...return the money as soon as possible please.

First of all..a buyer can and has the right to change decisions when he chooses. Second, you can not make your own rules up especially if you do not have an agreement with the buyer. I am a business person, I deal with transactions everyday..I looked on paypal and there are no fees what-so-ever for paypal accounts, so therefore you are BSing..and whenever i made transaction, whether i was buying or selling..no fees were charged when returning items. And yes you are breaking the laws..you can not take anyones money because you feel like it. There were no agreement for any charges the buyer incurs, therefore you are stealing. I dont care how many transactions and deals you had previously made, this situation is different. Transfer back the funds.

Also dont take this personal..i know its hard to give back money you probably had already spent, but if you were a smart business woman, you would had already know anything can happen and to leave spare reserves, in case a seller wants to return an item or when a seller changes his mind.

I started this thread to let others on this board know about my experience - they do have a right to know.

Just for your information, talked with Paypal just now and they said you refunded me the wrong way, therefore the fees were not taken off. For someone who claims to use paypal frequently, you sure do not know how to refund people. Call paypal and confirm for yourself.

The money wasn't spent. We don't need the $10 whole dollars to pay bills or anything... LOL It the principle of the issue.

my point exactly regarding the $10 as being the principle. Do you still believe you have the right to keep my money? I calmed down because I just talked with Paypal. Sure, send them my pms and any kind of documents you have..what does it prove? That you and c0ven are theives..
