Default Money, I'd fight for a couple bucks too...

I saw the other thread on how people think a person should quit whining over $14 dollars. Like AzianRavinKid, I'd fight for $14 too, hell for $9 too.

There's a saying I hear alot that reminded me of that debate in the other thread.

"The Rich gets richer and the Poor gets poorer"

lol i feel ya man, rich people can just say " oh well its only 14 bucks" but anyone who is poor or at least has money problems would get a little more upset over it. i've seen people fight over 5 bucks before so 14 is a good reason in my book.

it doesn't even matter how much money it is. it's the principal of it. it's your money and you deserve it, whether it's $1 or $100. you worked for it. it's yours. you have to stand up for yourself or else you'll be walked over for everything else too. be a man and take what's yours. good and bad.

That is definitely not true...the rich gets richer means those rich people with money wouldnt want to waste a dime without a true benefit, while poor people would be the ones saying its only $14. I know many rich people who wouldnt spend $.50 more for something they can get cheaper.

My point exactly..as i stated in the other flame thread..it doesnt matter if i was fighting for a penny..it is still my money and i am entitled to it...and that in the real world..you will always be a nobody if you do not fight for what you believe in and what is yours..

lol i just read that whole original thread. and it was 100% redonculous...

the only thing i see wrong with it is that we are all members of the same board, with the same interests, a type of brotherhood.

i order vamp's lighting kit something like a month ago and didn't and will never receive it. my address with paypal was an old address and so it differed from my shipping address.

vamp sent it to my paypal address in order to avoid fraud which i appreciate.

sure i'm a little pissed that i didn't get my lights, but it was my bad for the paypal mix up, and i haven't mentioned a word of this to him until now as to avoid any conflict and tainted reps

like i said earlier:

take what you rightfully deserve, and if you fuck up, that's yours to take home too.

(but i'd still be pissed that someone bought a box for me, WITHOUT informing me, and then charging me for it )

Seriously, why would you buy a box, not tell me about it, and expect me to pay for it, even when you told me that you will cover part of that expense?

That was one of the reasons for starting that thread; to let other fellow HP members know my experience, but as some people had shown, they do not appreciate it, and calls me whiny and bitchy..

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with vamp. I hope you guys can work something out, but did you specifically give him your new address to be shipped to? If so, then he is at fault.

Actually, that was the point I was trying to make

Pick your battles. That's what people were saying, they were not trying to say $14 doesn't matter (even if that's how it came out.)

However, lotsa people, (me included,) believe that poverty is a mentality. It's possible to not be able to pay your bills and still be rich, at least IMHO. Money is just money, just a tool used for obtaining others things.
