Default So I was driving home in the morning and..............

So I was coming home from work. A rock truck pulled out in front of me. The next think I noticed is that i had a fucking chip in my windsheald. Ive had my car for five+ years, and never had a rock chip.
Fucking rock trucks always have their loads over the rim of their trucks and they never fucking cover their loads.
Im going to call up the company and bitch them out. I took pics of the load, the mound is over the edge of the truck/ uncovered. I know they probaly wont pay for a new windsheald but im going to let them have a peice of my mind. This is such bull shit....... This get under my fucking skin how companys can do this and get away..
Is their anything leagle i can do??? anyone know????????

If they don't pay take them to small claims court. It sounds like you have all of the evidence that you need. Most cities have small claims at night. Just be sure to mention that you saw the rock fall off the truck and hit your windshield.

you're not alone..

i live near where there's a quarry, these damn dump truck driver's will
cut you off even when you're going quite a speed,

i juts pass them with beta power and fling em the birdie..

they have a tendancy to avoid maintaining the load covers..
either the mechanism is broken or the top is ripped and wafting in the air..

that's why i alway's try to avoid being behind these POS Worktrucks..

Check your local laws before you call. Alotta places have covered load laws on freeways, in county, and in municipality limits.

Then you can threaten legal action, and cite the violation. That's the best chance you have of getting them to pay.

a lot of those trucks here have signs that say "keep 200ft back. not responsible for broken windsheilds".

Keep this in mind also, alot of the rocks come off the under side of them too....which BLOWS!!!!

I don't think that a keep back sign gives them the right to launch missiles at your car. Supposed a motorcycle rider was killed by the stone, do you think that the sign would free them from legal responsibility?

Yeah, that kinda like having the same sticker on your car. Then throwing rocks randomly from the back.
