Another thing to think of that the media doesn't tell you, the victims Criminal record. He may have had a violent history, maybe not. I usually take most things the media says with a grain of salt but all that shooting, probalby not necessary.

I read about this last week, but the messed up thing is that the mom and the kid kept saying he has a gun. The only reason they shot him was because he was coming at them after saying he had a gun from what I read on another newspaper. Also if anyone knows Bed-stuy, knows that shootings and all are common so saying you have a gun and running at cops isn't the smartest way to go. I could probably pick up any newspaper here and read about at least 5 shootings or robberies in that area.

All I know is: I genuinely fear the idea that someone could try to execute a "no-knock warrant" at my house.

If LE declares themselves, I will comply to the extent the law requires me to. But if someone breaks my door down and doesn't declare themself, I hafta assume they are coming to harm me, and will respond accordingly.
(That means I'll hide behind the bag of kitty litter. )

I generally will respond appropriately if I see the need to. Once, in the middle of the night, I woke up to a commotion outside and I grabbed my 50 caliber rifle and went through the open window of my bedroom. No one has the right to walk onto your property without your permission, especially your home.

Media wants you to feel and believe whatever they want you to believe. We weren't there and don't know the actual situation. If this makes you mad go to Youtube.com and look up vancouver taser. That will get you mad the fact that the guy didn't do anything or threaten the cops both verbally or physically.
