i don't like the fact that AT&T could just rise of the ashe's and declare itself as well known brand and buy out cingular.
AT&T is a shady company in my opinion..it's been pointed with strong controversy for aiding on NSA Recordings, going after people who lost their homes in the california wildfire by charging them for services and products..something that's the least of their concerns..
and their long distance rate's are fucking outrageous to not only people who have a ccount with them but iphone users as well.
AT&T is a example of a evil capitalistic corporate world we live in today

I don't understand how someone could possibly not respect AT&T for what they are. They rose from a small telecommunications company SouthBell and found their niche in International Business Communications, and then went to slowly aquire cellular and now city-wide wi-fi technologies.
Being a patriotic country as we have been, and the passing of the Patriot Act, the company in itself would HAVE to aid in NSA recordings. For the past 3 years, many companies have helped and will continue to help in doing so, and that isn't their fault as companies, but our faults as voters. The Patriot Act was first written, brought up and passed without a strong rejection, so I don't think many of us can complain about that either.
We live in a free economic market, and we can choose many different telecomunications companies, so you're not limited to AT&T. Many people dont rely on their land lines anymore other than for a message lines and AT&T has one of the most competitive national plans, especially after aquiring Cingular. Money makes the world go around... And since we're becomming a GLOBAL economy instead of a domestic economy, look forward to a drop in the standard of living throughout the US in the next decade. Shit's only going to get worse
AT&T is so out of date time warner provides many of AT&T's services for free, not to mention their lines are easy to tap, and they charge up the ass for everything including tax on closing fees which they send in a bill after you pay the closing bill.
And thats not even the worst part call their customer service and the whole thing is automated and the machine argues with you too.
o after closing they send an apology card saying "Sorry we will be nicer to you this time" just please come back, but the renegotiation deal is worse then the price you were originally paying.
sure they helped the NSA listen to people talk, and they caught SO MANY PEOPLE FROM IT I think the number of suspected terrorists were like 5.
but I don't care if they listen to me talking about Tomatoes and other food I need.
They try even to match with other companies in television and the service is crap. I'm sorry but greedy corporate punks that provide crap of the crap service = no business from me.
lol silly AT&T needs to get with the times.

yeah if they have nothing to rape peoples money for they end up creating charges, and they use to have a contract you have to sign for any charges that just happen to magically get there. IDK if they still have it tho.
