I'm working with a 5th grader that was adopted and he apparently went through a lot of stuff when he was younger. It is still on his mind yet and will continue to be.

i dont understand how parents can do that - if it is the case that you cannot afford to raise your children - give them up for adoption or to a family member who can raise them. these poor children...

I have a family friend and they are from Guyana. Her parents went back to Guyana to try and sell her because they wanted a boy and needed the money. They told my parents but I don't think she knows to this day...

Even adopted kids can have a lot of issues they have to sort through regardless of the situation. Listening to them is hard, but they do need someone to talk to at times.
