ok so my car is coming up to the 30,000 miles mark so i've wanted to trade mine in for a 07 accent.... you know nothing big and flashy just a "upgrade"... well today i come home from work i find a flyer in the mail saying Obrien Hyundai is having thier year end clearence on thier 07 models.... i think to myself "score".... so i convince my mom in the idea so she tells me to go to the bank and see about a loan.... $15,000 is my loan limit.... "score" again..... so i clean my car out and get it all pretty but my momk says for us to go down there in her car so the "vultures" dont try to force us into a buy..... we get down there.... THE LOT IS F***ING EMPTY.... a week ago there were cars everywhere.... there hasnt been a sale since then so we look @ all the accents.... they are all (48 of them) 08 and the cheapest F***ING one is $15,390 (and when the h**l has a accent cost over $13,000... i got my 05 gt.... in 04 for $12,500) so we ask a guy where to 07 accents were and he says in a "stupid tone"..... "uhhhhhhh we dont have any 07s on the lot except tuscons and sonatas... i can sell you one of those if you want" so i asked about the sale and he says "nope no 07s but i can trade you up into a 08" my reply: "i asked about the 07s for a reason you dumb s**t..."
this dealership is F**king useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they NEVER have s**t, they ALWAY "have to order" stuff..... isn't the "parts" department supposed to have F**KING PARTS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I swear if i had the money i'd get a Dodge or Ford inspite of this dame place.... ever since the manager left that place has gone to s**t....

PS im totally thinkin about going to the manager for false advertising... i mean if you're gonna have the damn sale have the damn product..... i couls see if i showed up on the 30th (sale ends dec 31st) and there wasnt any 07s

i'm not sure of the laws down there.. but they get around the bait and switch laws by having fine-print stating "while quantities last" or such. It's a PITA and everyone does it.

Im pretty sure thats somewhat of against the law! Its called a bait and switch...they tell you they have a certain something they know you would want and than when you get there they switch it up on you and say they dont but for a little bit more they can get you something else! If I were you go to the Better Business Bureau...Im pretty sure they are not allowed to do that...it happened to one of my exs once and he was pissed so he told them that if they didnt put him into the car he wanted and at the price he wanted he would report them to the BBB they gave him the car and price he wanted! Thats some shady s**t though!!!

I don't think they bait and switched you. They had 07 models on clearance, their Tuscons and Sonatas. Now if they mentioned 07 Accents on clearance then you have a legitimate complaint.
Yeah of course there is always fine print which sucks! Thats why I hate dealing with dealerships, they try to get you for whatever they can!
