2 and a half years ago, i was involved in a car accident which cause my whole front bumper to be ripped off and scraping the sheetmetal on the pass side of a 2003 subaru forester..
the police arrived and the other driver and i both confirmed that we were okay..it wasn't a collision..just inche's away from my car being t-boned..
The muthafucker is going after me with his attorney after a unsuccessful attempt from my previous insurance company to resolve this situation,
they have little or no evidence that i am the cause of his "Injury"
1:I have a good reason he's going after me to make me cover his medical expense's because our healthcare system is pretty low in the united states.
2:He wait's almost 2 years and start's hurting somewhere and has the fucking nerve to say i'm at fault for it..asshole..if you weren't hurt at the accident..you never got hurt..you're just using the accident we had 2 year's ago to justify compensation from me for your damn medical bills.
3:you have no proof that the accident is the cause of your injury..if you were hurt a month or 2 after the month..that would be a relevant reason
but 2 years..i smell something fishy..
4:if he come's after me with his attorney..i'm calling my lawyer and am gonna counter sue him for him trying to screw me at a wrongful accusation saying i'm the one at fault..when all that happen at the accident was a scrape on this car..
fucking bastard..he's gonna pay..fucking pay

#1 is not gonna be a strong enough defense.
#2&3 are within the 3yr statue of limitations (in this state), and some soft tissue damage is hard to disprove.
That's the beauty of the american legal system. Anyone can be sued at any time, and although a successful defense might have the plaintiff pay your expenses, they never re-imburse for your time or hassle.
I was in a jury last year for something like this, 4 freaking days in court, hearing about every little detail about some dude's personal and professional life, and seeing pictures of this "accident". Long story short the guy claimed he tore his miniscus in his knee and inflated everything, then asked for $700k, and we denied it. From the pictures it looked like the accident was the plaintiff's fault, anyway.
Let it get to a jury trial, do not settle, and the jury will be so pissed off at the waste of their time that the other guy won't get squat.
