Default 1.8 tib handle nitrous?

I have a 97 1.8 tib, with a header. intake, and a can. Was wondering how these respond to a 55 shot, regularly. It has 82,000 miles on it. -Scott

just my 2 cents, but u may wanna start with sumthin around 35 shot. unless u have the zex kit which is at lowest 55. but ur engine should be fine provided u have performed routine maintenance on it. u may wanna change ur plugs to a colder range though. a wet kit is also safer all around but dry for a low shot would be fine also. just IMO

it should be fine with a 55, but what kind of cams do you have? be careful with a combination of an aggressive NA cam and the use of nitrous. Use a wet kit if possible.

i would run a compression test..

since you have a 97.. your car might have quite a lot of miles on it..

Check the compression and make sure your engine is still running healthy.
