Here:
Hyundai Concept Genesis

This place has a lot of actual pictures (both the concept and the possible "for sale" model), as well as some photoshop ones:

All they've said about the weight was that keeping the weight down was a primary design concern and that it weighs less than the Azera. So all we know is that it's under 3800 pounds, which in reality is fine. I would like to see it come in around 3400 pounds at the most but I expect (speculation) that it will weigh around 3600 pounds with the I4.

If it weighs 3400 pounds it will be able to run a 13 second quarter mile. Not bad at all.

Weight is an issue with me.

Sorry not a big fan of nimitz class sports cars. I swear if I have to hire a crew to run my genesis I will be pissed. Hyundai is well know for making big ships.

LS1 F-body 325hp - 3440lbs - 13.7sec
Mustang 300hp - 3575lbs - 13.8sec
Lexus IS350 306hp - 3527lbs - 14.2sec
Infinity G37 330hp - 3625lbs - 13.9sec
Nissan 350Z 306hp - 3320lbs - 14.1sec
e46 M3 333hp - 3415lbs - 13.6sec

Average = 316hp - 3484lbs - 13.9sec 1/4 mile

I'm betting that the Genesis Coupe will come in a couple hundred pounds above average, but hopefully I'm wrong. I doubt they'll keep it under 3400lbs, maybe under 3500, probably between 3600 and 3700 I guess. Maybe the I4 will weigh less.

I hope to be proved wrong and that the Genesis coupe will weigh less but I doubt it. If it falls near the average of these cars I will be happy.

Car and Driver reviewed it in January's issue!!

They're calling it the "Mustang Killer". They say a lot of good things about it.

But their last line is:
"All we can imagine is climbing behind the wheel, starting the engine, and for the first time in a Hyundai, squealing the rear tires".

Don't worry Jed, I already wrote them and told them you would be dissappointed in them for forgetting the Pony. I'm totally serious.

I am thinking that hyundai might have a card in their sleaves...

sell the car with the v6 & I4 for like 2 years or so then suprise everybody with a V8...
I will have to see how it is when striped out. Hope fully if it is in the 35xx-36xx range it will have like 400-500lbs of useless stuff.
