S2000's dont sell very fast at all, it pretty hard to get rid of them.
so Im sure Honda has another Ace up their sleeve like usual.

Ok, so I haven't posted in, like, years...haha. I even still have my Hyundai Mafia avatar! This site has sure changed a ton! But I work for Honda now. Yeah, ironic, b/c I still hate them. And I'm still a Hyundai and GM fanatic.
But anyway, the S2K is not turbocharged, and there was never even talk in corporate about making them turbocharged from the factory. The rear diff in them can barely take the crappy power they put out as it is. And they don't sell real well, so we keep production numbers way down.
But comparing a Genesis Coupe to a S2K would be wayyy off. Think Pontiac Solstice GXP/Saturn Sky Red Line, the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6, and the Mazda MX-5 Miata as competition for the S2K. All of them = tiny roadsters.
It's kinda weird, the Genesis Coupe is almost in its own little niche/class. Most of the RWD coupes out there (350Z, G35 Coupe, Mustang, etc.) are not really designed with complete affordability in mind (well, the Mustang is a slight exception, that's still a budget muscle car). The Genesis Coupe is designed as it is, but with complete affordability in mind, as with all Hyundai's. So it's not really fair to compare the Genesis Coupe with anything else on the market without making price a huge factor of comparison. Hell, even all of the magazines that are reviewing the Genesis Coupe are making sure that they're emphasizing the price point in their comparison of it to other similar cars.

Honestly, we really don't have anything definite for the next couple of years. S2K sales dropped horribly in the last year, and the S2KCR came out right as the economy bombed. We're concentrating a lot on really pushing the Insight right now, kinda leaving the Si as our "performance" entry for the next couple of years.

turnes out the turbo S2000 honda was showing was somebodys custom make it just look so stock.
anyway yeah i worked at a dealership and what a manager thought was a good buy turned to a good looking dust collector.
that S2k was on sale for a good 5 moths before my manager decided to send it to wholesale again.
As for the SI I only heard good changes from the 08 to 09 like the better transmission which it so badly needed.
Ive heard of a hybrid FIT coming out and that sound like a cheap Hypermiling monster

The Si trans changed very, very little from '08 to '09. The only difference is the 3rd gear synchro and the Reverse synchro was updated, the '06-'08 Si had issues with the trans. grinding in and popping out of 3rd and Reverse.
The '06-present Si trans. is actually a decent 6-speed, great shift feel, decent ratios...

they had to have change the ratios a bit from 09 to 07 because when i took an 07 out joy riding second and fourth gear seemed useless mainly second tho.
pull on one until 5k shift to 3 and I was on 4k rpm
I tested the 09s and they didn't seem that way
EXPLAIN THAT HONDA MAN!
jk
but yeah plz explain
