Hello,

Without touching internals, you can reach about 135-140 hp with basic components and nice break in. Best way to tune 2.0 is turbo. N/A keeps on asking for more money and money whereas turbo only need a large amount of money one time and you can stop. Saves you $$$ at the end and you end up with twice or even higher horsepower.

I believe that is what David means

A lot of the Tiburrons here in Korea are boosted from what I noticed

If you plan on going forced induction, I would go turbo instead of s/c on the beta.

This will also save you about $750 since you won't have to get the header and intake.

The beta is just as strong no matter what year you get. Very minor changes have been made such as MAF to MAP but no changes were made to the block.

You shouldn't even care about that.
Hyundai got CRITICIZED in Korea for bullsh*tting on their Engine.
Like 2nd gen Tiburon Turbulence, there are 3 types.
1.8, Type S, Type R. HP ratings are, 133, 148, 153.
153 hp is just a marketing number.
2.0 Engine is 138 hp all together. At the stock trim onlye puts out sorry 118hp.
Ignore those numbers and just like Autobot mentionsed, they are all the same.
Beta loves to be turboed and yes it will be reliable.
