Default 2003 TIBURON n/a mods

I own a 2003 tib with 800 miles on it, its a 4 cyl., just changed the wheels for an Enkeys RPM2 17s, and I would like to go a little wild on the engine, I was looking at the pistons, rods, cams and headers that are in this site. Could anybody give an advise on what to do to go up to 200whp n/a? Could this be done with this engine?

sure is possible, but you won't need pistons for it. check on newtiburon.com, nextgen has got a 200whp na project. from my understanding, it involves porting and polishing of the heads, intake runners, larger throttle body, cams, I/H/E, and some way of tuning fuel, i think they are using an SMT6, but i'm not sure.

woops, :dead: i need to train myself not to instinctively think GTV6 when i see "2003" tib. sorry dude, that was all for the V6. as far as 200whp NA on the 4 cyl. you're gonna spend a lot of money to get there. it's possible, but its driveability is going to take a toll. i would suggest if you have the money, a turbo setup will yield more than 200whp, and still be driveable, or if you are short of cash, the cheaper and easier way would be a nitrous setup, 75 shot or thereabouts. and naturally when your not spraying, you have stock driveability. sorry, the 4 cyl just doestn' respond to NA mods like the V6 does
