Default Alpine supercharger V6 tibby

OK, I know I'm probably just dreaming about getting this, But how many of you V6 owners have put the supercharger on, and is it worth it? Was it a pain to install, or did you have someone else do it?
The price seems fair to me, especially with the warrenty it comes with, and adding 50HP in one mod has got to be a great kick in the pants.

I have the 5 speed 03 Tib in case that matters. Thanks.

I believe you need to have a professional install it for the warranty coverage.

Not sure if that is true or not but if you contasct Alpine directly, they will tell you.
The install shouldn't be that hard as long as you have some knowledge of mechanics.

I just got a reply from Alpine today, super fast responce. They said for $175 I could get a 3yr/36000 mile warrenty. They don't have an installer in my area, SW Florida, but any decent shop could put it in and sugested going to a Hyundai dealer for the install. He also said LOTS of people have put this in their cars, but I would still like to here from someone that did.
Here's to dreaming!!

i don't have a alpine s/c but, i sat in one late last year around sema, and it made me take my lifted truck and go trade it in on a v6 tib. and from driving my car and sitting in a supercharged v6, there is quite a bit of difference. and plus it just sounds sick screaming down the road. i would definetly buy one if you are seriously thinking about it. its worth it.

I have a alpine supercharged 2003 tib gt and had it installed a at a hyndai dealership. I have had nothing but troble with it hesitating and then I only get about 1 to 2 pounds boost. alpine has not been very helpful at all and the price seems high when it does not work as planed. Know I have to send the car to alpine as know onw wants to mess with someone elses install. 800. each way buy truck as I live in ind. $1600.00 more ontop of the price of the supercharger. Is it worth it NO:smoking:

Either you got a bad install or need to learn how to drive. Superchargers don't supply multiple boosts as you drive.. it's CONSTANT. if you are only getting a few seconds then something is wrong

The Alpine s/c is nice, but they can not help a crappy install.

$20 says the techs that installed it didn't cut the heater hoses in the back.

If that's not the case, then another $20 says that you don't have a key in your pulley.

Take off your pulley and look for the key. if you don't see one at all anywhere, that explains your lack of boost.
If there is one, than chances are, like I said, the techs didn't cut the heater hoses.

If those don't work, get back to us. My Alpine SC has been fine. I have a slight hesitation, but that's probably because I've yet to tune the open-loop settings on a dyno. When I'm done, I'll havve the SC to at least 250WHP 8D
