Default Rough ride

Hi, I just bought my new 2003 Tiburon in January '04 and have been enjoying it for the most part. But my one major complaint is that this is the roughest ride I've ever driven! Every minor bump or pot hole in the raod is jarring as hell. I even noticed it when I was test driving it and the dealer said "oh that's just the "European sportscar suspension." My last car was a Toyota Supra so it's not like I haven't driven foreign sportscars before, but the Tiburon is so much more noticably rougher. Is there anything at all that can be done to smooth out the ride a bit? I'd be willing to sink some cash into it if there were something that could be done because outside of that one complaint, I really do like everything else about the car

Kind of an odd question since most of try to stiffen the suspension more. LOL
Assuming you have not modified anything on the suspension at all and it is still stock, there realy are only a few things you can do.

~Lower tire pressure a little but make sure it is still within the limits or you will compromise your safety. (Free)
~You could go with a smaller rim and larger tire also. (If you have the GT with 17" rims, I am sure several members would trade at no cost to you and you might even make a little)
~I do not know if Koni makes them or if another company does, but find adjustable shocks and struts and set the dampening down. (Roughly $600 for all 4)

Asside from that, there isn't much you can do.

To be honest, the Tiburon is and always has been a "rougher" ride. Comparing it to a Supra realy doesn't work well since it was a much more expensive car new and honestly, the older ones didn't handle as well as the Tibs either. Sure, it is possible to get great handling and refined ride, but I suppose you will be looking at cars in the $30k plus range.

Good luck
