Proto-Type Needed in Baltimore Washington Area for MAFci System
Hello,
We are currently looking into developing a MAFci System for the Hyundai 2.7L DOHC 24-valve V6 Tiburon. A MAFci System is our, Custom Performance Engineering, line of intake systems. It is the first line of intelligent intakes designed specifically for mass air sensor equipped cars and trucks. The Hyundai mass air flow sensor makes the 2.7 Tiburon a perfect candidate for the MAFci System.
Every MAFci system includes a high flow aFe reusable filter and all the associated plumbing (Usually 3.5" OD pipe), a bigger mass air sensor housing, associated hardware, and a MAF Customizer. The MAF Customizer is what allows the use of bigger mass air housing and is also used to tune the car for gains not possible with other intakes. Typical gains on a V6 are around 15-25 wheel hp and 17-30 wheel hp on a V8. We made 20 wheel hp on the 3.5 Nissan Altima.
This post is to see if there is interest among the 2.7 Tiburon owners. If we could get a list of about 15 people who would be interested, if the above stated gains were realized, that would be enough to start research and development. If we see enough interest we would be highly interested in making it for other versions of the Tiburon as well. We do not expect money we just want a list to determine if there is interest out there. If there is interest then we will develop and test a prototype to determine if the gains are there. If they are we would like to sell it if not the project will be scrapped.
We are looking for a stock performing 2.7 Tiburon in the WashingtonDC, Baltimore area to do the development on. In return the owner will receive a free tunable intake for use on his/her Tiburon.
We would also like your input. What types of things would you like to see included in the design of this intake.
