Default 225/40/18's on an 05 SE

Sorry for the potentially newb question, but I couldnt find an answer anywhere on the forum.

I want to put 225/40/18's on my 2 week old SE. Just wondering if anyone else has this wide a tire and if there are any issues to consider.

Yokohama Parada's are my tire of choice as I had them on my sentra and they lasted quite a while.

What are you running in 18's???

Thanks for the help.

The 225/40R18 will fit fine.

How wide of a rim are you going with?

Looking at 8in rims. Sounds like it will be no problem and shouldnt encounter any rubbing as I'm not planning on lowering it anytime soon, due to Canadian winters.

You'll be fine then. You might want to look at a 235/40R18 rim as that's a better size for an 8" wide wheel.

Wow, never thought 235 would fit under there, now would a 7.5in wide 18 be a better fit for the 225 wide tires that I will probably end up getting?

This place rocks for answers, oh and to the guy with the civic who is still at the light, trying to catch up, you suck.

Yes a 225 would be a much better fit on a 7.5" wheel than an 8" wheel.
