Default v6 oil filter code

i was doing a oil change today and noticed that the OEM oil filter was bigger than its replacement. i dont know if the book at autozone was wrong, and i didnt bother to try it on since i hate those oil filter clamps. can any one tell me which code is the correct one whether its STP, fram, moblie, etc. thanx

I experienced the same thing. I called the dealership and spoke to the parts department then I called K&N and spoke to them too. The oil filters that sometimes get used are huge OEM Hyundai replacements, but if you buy a K&N oil filter it will look tiny when compared to it. Don't freak out. Both Hyundai and K&N know about this, and I was assured by K&N that the K&N oil filter for my 2005 Tib V6 would work as designed with no problems, just keep your fluids changed at the correct times. (grin)
