Anything is possible with money, know how, and more money. All in all, it won't be a direct bolt in with any Tiburon and not realy worth the expense.
If you did it to a neaw Tib, you are almost at Lancer money and still don't have a lancer. If you do it to a RD Tib, you could have just bought an Eclipse GST or GSX.

Not if you have gotten a tiburon free of charge...and you wouldn't have an eclipse, you'd have a tib with a 4g63. People do these swaps to be different, not to have another eclipse or lancer. Completely different feel, looks, handling, etc. Just the same power as a lancer or dsm.
I also have a RX-7 that is currently getting an LS1 put into it. Would you call it a camaro, corvette, or trans-am? I am just trying to add to the hybrid family here.
The swaphas been done to a couple RD Tibs, so I am sure it could be done to a GK. But it is still a totally different monster then puting a LS1 into an RX7 since first of all that is a common swap and second you are putting a RWD engine in a RWD car. Here, you have to add a driveline to run AWD and it will be a lot of custom fabrication. Nobody in the US has done it that I know of, but anything can be done if you have money, knowledge and tools. Hell, if you can put two engines in a Tib, you can do anything.
Are you doing the work yourself or having a shop do it? If it is a shop, then ask them if they can do it. If it is being done by yourself, then be aware that it takes a lot more work and fabrication then an LS1 swap in a RX7. RWD hybrids are a lot easier then FWD hybrids especially when converting to AWD.
BTW, there are a few AWD Tibs and Accents with 4g63T's from EVOs, a RWD Tib with a V8, and a Tib with two Beta motors (i4 engine from tib) both of which are turboed and running on seperate transmissions. So, that should give you an ide if it can be done.

Really I want to just use the fwd transmission out of a GS-T , I don't have to go AWD and definitely wouldn't want to go through the hassle. I've never even thought of going that crazy. Unless someone has tons of money and has 24/7 access to an awesome fabrication shop you're right there is no way in hell a conversion to AWD from FWD or even RWD is going to happen. Can you tell I used to have a eclipse or two? Believe me that thought never crossed my mind.
I knew that in some earlier tibs people could do the 4g63 swaps and was just wondering if the engine was the same as was in the earlier tiburons. I'm actually getting the car in a couple months and was just wondering it could be a possibility. I actually know nothing about the car I'm getting, so I'm a complete newb when it comes them. And I'm definitely not an innovator when it comes to this stuff, so I'd have to know that someone else has done the swap and could get help doing it. I'll probably just end up giving the car to my mother in law, she needs a new car anyway :ermm:
Well, since you're new to Hyundais you don't know this, but the Beta isn't a bad motor. If you specifically want a 4g63 that's one thing, but if you just want a 2L engine with 300 horsepower you can do that with the Beta the same way Mitsubishi did to the 4g63 (i.e., with ~15PSI).
