Default Superchargers?

I was curious if anyone here has been using either the Alpine Supercharger kit for the V6 or the RIPP Mod's kit? I'm looking into both and I am curious to see what problems if any people are experienceing with either of these kits?

I don't have either but I really like how that Alpine looks. If you add one of those do you need to change out other parts like pistons? I dont know much about engines at all. someone was telling me you have to do that for NOS.

There are a ton of guys out there using both of these setups. IMO forget you ever heard of RIPPMODS, they are not doing much more than selling the parts, not enough R&D, don't care much about their customers, and at least 8 to my knowledge have blown up or had some other types of major failures. If you go over to www.newtiburon.com you will see quite a few guys over there running the Alpine blowers. It is a good system, and the best GK V6 TIburon tuner that anyone has seen www.nxtgenmotorsports.com has done some VERY good things with this setup. And with the Alpine unit you do not need to change internals immediately, and maybe ever, depending on how far you want to take things. There are a few guys over the 250whp mark on the factory internals.

But I heard they did some major revisement's to the kit and the instructions,
It's hard for me to believe how rippMod president say's it's a direct bolt-on with no problems,

I mean they're kit is Awesome and i credit them for launching the first centrifugal type blower kit for the GK,

We'll just have to see..

they have a tasy debate on root's versus centrifugal

centrifugal doe's output more power but the alpine kit is more user friendly and less parts,

I know I've seen a fair amount of caution to stay away from the RIPP kits...but as all can see the HP gains are pretty impressive...block damage also could be much of the same so that's definitly up in the air.

I do like the fact that the Alpine kit does look to be more user friendly and much safer on the engine, but...once again...HP is really what we're wanting...and RIPP shows better numbers no doubt.

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!

Centrifugal's put out more power at crazy high RPM's, that's what RIPP's goal was. To put out some big ass number, even if it was only attainable at like say 200rpm's before redline, so they could say they were making 300whp. 300whp is worthless if you can't use it. I'd rather own a 250whp Roots powered car anyday, torque all over the place and reliable as could be.
