this is NOT a concept car. this is the 2nd Face Lift for the new MY.

The new chassis car is said to be RWD and I've heard 3.3L or maybe a 2.0 Turbo. But nothing has been confirmed....

its good looking in the rear... actually damn sexy!!!X)

but the nose needs a job done to it... and the headlights..scuse me wjile I puke...*bleugh*... well not really,,...they just dont do the shape of the car justice...

also taken away the "gills" on the side.. WUWT?? there goes the "tiburon" image..IMO.

but you can still see its a tibby tho.. also I rekon the face lift to THIS model will be similar to the one between the current GK tibs.

my 2 cents.

Default new 08 tib

The new 08 tibby will be suporting a new look and a powerfull 3.6L v6 putting out 360Kw at the rear wheels, yah thats right as of 08 the tibby will be a rear wheel drive.
The shape will be more streamlined and airo-dynamic.
also the interior gets a full facelift and will be suporting a full leather timm.

360kW at the rear wheels will put it up there in supercar territory m8. Where did this information come from, because getting a V8 to make 360kW reliably on NA is already a mission for the factory[ie. something that can be warrantied] It would put the new tib ahead of Porsche's and quite a few others; where did this article come from?

Default 2008 tibby

The information that I posted in my last post came directly from the hyundai concept and desing teams that re desinged the car for 2008. some pics of the car and engine have been releses but you cant save them as they are only still prototypes the final product will be much neater and also have a slightly more power full engine than the current 08 tibb prototype that has been prodjuced

Conceptual design is just that m8, it's "ideal" product development that needs to go through engineering, then through production engineering. Don't get me wrong, this is THE car I've waitied for for almost a decade, but I don't want to get my hopes up and save all that money[up to selling my current car to raise enough for this thing] and then have to start a new project if this new "Sports coupe" dosnt materialize in the form that was touted by the company[anyone remember how we thought the GTV6 would come out years ago?]

360hp and rwd. Got to put the price way up beyond the current concept of good looks and not that much money. If the gts are going around 22000 now thats got to be over 30000. Seems like it would go against the whole value for dollar concept that Hyundais always had.

somebodys figure is wrong if this car makes 360kw it would be equal to about 480 horsepower that seams way to high for even a V-8 powered hyundai somebody somewhere either put down the wrong # or is pulling your chain

Well, from a design perspective it is usually the case that a designer will have a good picture painted of the porduct in his head to work up from. Usually that comes from marketing, so the designer will generate what he/she/they reckon is the best fitting image for the product.
