I couldn't sleep a wink last nite and in about an hour I have work,...
For the future, got any tips besides taking stuff like Nytol?
Thanks

Melatonin works, but you should do some research on it because it is a pro-hormone. If you do decide to use it, only use it occasionally. Don't become dependent on it.

Below is a fairly critical article on it.

This one is from the Sleep Foundation.

If you decide that you don't want to try the melatonin route, you can do a couple of things:

* Relax (try not to go to bed stressed).
* No cigarettes, coffee, tea, alcohol, sports supplements, ephedrine, ma huang, guarana, or vigorous exercise 4 hours before desired bed time.
* Read a book an hour before bed (I've found that reading tends to tire your eyes out).

Hope this helps,

I have read several books on Melatonin, some make it out to be a cure all, but I'm not impressed. Some melatonin isn't safe, especially if it's from animals. Tugger5000 has some very good points and suggestions to do. Check out the links he posted as well.

One of the biggest things affecting how we sleep is stress and having alot on our minds. Learning how to relax is very important and It's different for everyone.

Try going to bed and getting up at the same time each day this should help!

Going from point A to point B in a Hyundai! I may be old school, but have been driving Hyundai's for many years!
