quitting is very difficult. ive tried. just try to keep yourself busy at all times. playing video games, working out, whatever it may be that you like to do. but at the same time, if smoking is something you truly enjoy, this girl should get past that. in all my attempts to quit smoking, ive found that doing physical activities help alot, even though i still havent quit yet. as long as you can keep busy, it will keep your mind off the smokes.......and try to stay out of your car as much as possible. cars are a smokers death trap. once you set foot in there, its all over. so if you can walk, or bike somewhere instead of driving, go for it. the exercise is great for the lungs, and will keep you from smoking. you could also try not taking smokes with you when you go out places. hope this helps. good luck my friend.

Smoking is bad for you, so why should anyone who loves you look past it?

I tapered off and made sure I didn't smoke in places that were trigger places (such as the car).

The 4 week quit smoking program (2 packs)

For 6 days 3 cigs a day
For 10 days 2 cigs a day
For 12 days 1 cig a day

Make sure you smoke at different times every day especially when you get to the 1 a day. This way you eliminate trigger times. Also, make sure you only take your allowed number of smokes with you.

Also, definately do things to keep your mind off smoking. Working out realy helps. You can afford to join a gym with the money you save from smoking.

I can back this statement up 110%. I have first-hand experience with it. If this girl really cares about you back, she'll try to get you to quit smoking because of the potential health risks.

I also smoke, and all my friends and family try to get me to quit
It's just so damn hard

I smoke about a pack a day, and I've tried a couple times this summer but the 30min drive to work is impossible to make without cigs
I hop on the highway and just can't take it anymore so I buy a pack soon as I get off, heh

Just remember to take it one step at a time, one day at a time. I wonder where I heard that? :

If you are going to use snacking as a vice to make up for smoking, then choose low fat, low calorie snacks. Also, watch what you eat in general so you do not blow up.

BTW, I also cut things out like going to the bar because I knew if I started drinking, I would start smoking. This also had good health benifits. Although now, I will occasionally go to the bar, I have no desire to smoke.
