Default My Mother, Vitamins?

My mother recently went to the chiropractor for back pain. The doctor told her to take some vitamins, namely, Vitamin C and something called "Osteonutrients"? Some specific brand, "Chiropracter's Blend" I believe.

My mom is worried that doctor just wants her to buy the vitamins from the doctors own store, so, what's your opinion Doc, do you ever tell people to get them? Have you ever heard anything positive/negative about them?

Thanks.

Default Re: My Mother, Vitamins?

Can you give me the manufactures name of the supplement(s) being taken.

List the ingredients: such as calcium in the form as Calcium Citrate and how many milligrams (mg) and how many tablets/capsules per serving.

I make recommendations to my patients, family, and friends, regarding nutritional supplements. If there are supplements available to help with various conditions it's my responsibility as a doctor to let them know.

Most supplements over the counter aren't good, that's why I use only certain pharmaceutical grade supplement companies. I'm going to assume the doctor in question does too. However, most chiropractors don't understand the chemical structures and nutrition as I do.
